She is a recipient of the 2016 Discovery Prize from 92nd St Y & Boston Review and has held residencies at Vermont Studio Center, Pink Door, and ASYLUM Arts. Known for her past astrology work with NYLON and Refinery29 , Gala now offers tarot readings through QueerHealers.com, a directory she helped create. Gala also co-hosts Big Dyke Energy Podcast and is a part of The Cheburashka Collective.
